Just a Peek...

Just a peek into what I've been workin' on lately....yippee! I'm an entrepreneur, uh, small business owner. More accurately, a gal doing what she wants to do, when she wants to do it and where she wants to do it.

Just a few pics, but can you figure out what I've got my fingers, elbows and (for that matter) mouth into lately? This was a test-batch and had to be consumed by hubby and me to be sure we were doing everything correctly.

I'll tell you more about my "lil biz" journey after the last of the equipment arrives from California soon...all 100 pounds of it. Sorry 'bout that, mister delivery man.

So don't start complaining quite yet UPS dude --- wait til the 500 pounds of popcorn arrives from Iowa!

Can smell it all the way down here. Had no idea you popped it first, then put it into the kettle. Such a science!

It looks so good -- my mouth is watering -- I am a kettle corn addict. Please pack up a small trash bag full and put it in the mail. Send a bill -- or email it. I'm ready!

Hey Linda...nope, the popcorn is popped in the big ole 160 qt. (can you say 40 gallons?) kettle, then dumped into the sifter table. The 'old maids' drop through the holes in the sifter table and then I salt the whole lot. The oil and sugar are in the kettle where the corn pops so the lovely little kernels get tasty from the start!

Penni...we'll be popping Friday night so will make a small batch for ya! Get those tastebuds ready.

Nancy...pack yer bags, lady!
