Live Long and Prosper!

I've always been an advocate of spaying and neutering cats, all cats. My friend Rienzo has one such cat, Lenny.

Lenny adopted Rienzo (yeah, I think it happened that way, kind of backwards actually) less than a year ago. Both Rienzo and Lenny are free spirits and Lenny lived life casually. As casually as he could until the rest of the tomcats in the neighborhood realized Lenny was all grown up. A big boy.

The tomcat fights started and let's say --- Lenny was not a contender. In stepped me, with information about neutering that Rienzo needed to hear and Lenny needed to participate in. Off Lenny went to the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project in Lynnwood, WA for the surgery that could save Lenny's life and Rienzo tons of vet bills.

Stopping by Lenny's place the other day, I could see he didn't hold a grudge. He's still just as lovable, he's still just Lenny. And we're all glad he'll be around a long time to prove it.

I never realized that nuetering a cat could help keep him out of fights.

Glad Lenny is doing well, he's certainly handsome.

Oh YES! No testosterone, no scouting around for the ladies. No fights over the ladies! Lovely kitty!

Is Lenny one of those cats with extra toes? I'm looking at that last picture and thinking 'what's up with that?'

Linda...yes, one of Lenny's special qualities is his "polydactyl-ness". Having mits like "Rocky" still didn't help him in the fight department! Read more here:

I didn't know they had a feral cat neuturing clinic in Lynnwood. Good deal and great for Lenny.

Lenny and Rienzo, Thank you so much for sending me the link to your blog (ok, sandys blog) Lenny sure has grown up to be a handsome man, but since I personally own Mama and Papa, maybe I am a little biased. And for all of you wondering Lenny will always be one of a kind as both of his parents are fixed. Thank you Sandy for telling them about the Feral cat spay/neuter project in Lynnwood. Great place, and very affordable!! Lenny and Rienzo, live long and prosper!! Lori
