Spa Time -- Cardigan Style!

We're back from our trip to the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico) and the first stay in our new house. In between 'camping' in the house (ala, the 'no furniture look') we took some trips to wonderful places to meet wonderful people and their equally wonderful critters. Our first visit was to meet Penni and her two Cardigan Welsh Corgis (also known as 'the complete Corgi' because they have a tail).

That's Penni on the left with Inca, also exalted as 'The Empress of the Known World'. I'm on the right with the Chase, hangin' on for dear life because...because...he'd spied Bruce/hubby/with a camera.

After giving me a few quick slurps...and finding out I was salty ---

Chase moved onto a more challenging adventure. "Hmmm, how do I sneak up on the guy with the camera, charm him with my dashing good looks and wash his face (even behind his ears) without him noticing?" Vehwy, vehwy carefully.

Or --- just blindside 'em!

A quick elbow nibble, just to be sure he's the right flavor...

Ha! And let him scratch ME so he thinks HE is in control. (NOT!)

A chin nibble to throw 'em off...

And finally, the full-on-assault. The official greeting from Chase, an ear washing like no other!

Just an aside: Chase is planning on opening his own spa! He thinks he'll start out with a unique introductory offer.....a free "foot lapping". Oh, yum.

Look at Bruce, all smiley faced. Dogs will do that, cameras won't.

Awww. Chase and Inca truly enjoyed your visit -- they love a little variety in their diets! We can't wait to have you closer.
